The American ontwikkelstudio Naughty Dog is considering a sequel to The Last of Us, but whether there really is a sequel, not sure yet. In addition, watching the studio to the possibility of The Last of Us on PlayStation 4.
With The Last of Us does Naughty Dog one of the most successful games of 2013 in the house, but according to the California ontwikkelstudio does not automatically mean that there is a sequel coming. Creative director Neil Druckmann showed when prompted to Eurogamer know that the studio is currently the options open. A sequel is one of the options, but Naughty Dog also has concepts for new titles. Also considering the studio has yet to become a PlayStation 4 version of The Last of Us.
“We have limited resources and the question is what you do with those resources. We need to work out what the support is for a PlayStation 4 version”, as stated Duckmann opposite Eurogamer. Support is not the problem for a possible next part. That project looks Naughty Dog especially to the question of whether the studio is a good story can drop without too much repetition to fall. According to Duckmann was that the use of the recently published dlc package Left Behind a considerable challenge. In an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit showed Duckmann know that the probability that there is a sequel to the The Last of Us, about 50 percent.
Naughty Dog has next to The Last of Us the Uncharted franchise, and works with a separate team on a new game in the series for the PlayStation 4. It is not yet known when the game should come on the market.
