Team from TU Delft wins ‘EK programming,”

A team of three students of the TU Delft, the Northwestern European Regional Contest programming won. This allows the team next year to the world championship program in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg.

The programmeerwedstrijd for a number of European countries was held at the TU Delft. In total, 92 teams from eleven countries competed in the competition. They had a total of ten algorithmic problems submitted as fast as possible had to be solved through the writing of a software program.

The match lasted over five hours. The ‘no.opdracht5’team of the TU Delft, consisting of Jan Elffers, Robbert van Staveren and Harmjan Treep, could eventually win the competition. They had if only all the missions and got the full ten points, writes Delta. A team from the university of Cambridge took the second place.

With the victory the no.opdracht5 team a place conquered for the world cup. The world championship program is at the end of June 2014 in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg will be held.
