Domestic. The chairman of the justice committee, Richard Jomshof, tells SVT's “Aktuellt” that the right to burn the Koran is more important than the NATO application, because it is about freedom of expression. However, he wants to introduce a ban on burning the Swedish flag, he says in the program.

Jomshof defends his controversial statement about “burning a hundred Korans” by saying that “freedom of expression is more important than Sweden's NATO application”.
At the same time, he supports an SD motion which wants to criminalize desecration of the Swedish flag – because it “should stand above everything”.
– You can blaspheme and you can offend. It is part of the freedom of opinion and expression, he says.
When the presenter asks if he supports the SD motion to ban flag burning, he says that he does.
– Sweden is a divided country, a segregated country, we need to unite around something. I mean that the flag is something we can agree on, he says.
When asked why freedom of expression should not apply to the Swedish flag, Jomshof answers:
– It unites us all and should also stand above everything else.
