Intel Arc A580: Alchemist middle class in the gaming benchmark

Intel's upcoming middle class of the first generation Xe HPG (“Alchemist”), the Arc A580 with 16 Xe cores and 2,048 shader units as well as 8 GGB GDDR6, has appeared in a gaming benchmark for the first time. The Ashes of the Singularity (test) database reveals initial results obtained using the free Vulkan API.

Intel Arc A580 flew under the radar so far

The rumor mill has so far held back with rumors and benchmarks about the smallest Arc graphics card with the larger of the two graphics processors, the Intel ACM-G10, which is also used on the Intel Arc A770 and 750. Rather, the two larger models and the Intel Arc A380 (test) have been the focus of events and numerous rumors – until now.

But that is now changing for the first time, because the database of the real-time strategy game Ashes of the Singularity (Benchmarks) now has an entry on the upcoming Alchemist middle class for the desktop. The benchmarks performed in the minimum preset under Vulkan with 1080p put the Intel Arc A580 on about the same level as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 (test), which is also positioned in the middle class.
