The Swedish Lavasoft was, in January this year acquired by the investment company Solaria. The company has no other holdings in the hands. The Register claims that the company has ties with the founders of a marketing company UpClick. That founders would rather businesses were started that engaged in the provision of online porn and scam with the sale of software to consumers. Also they would free p2p-programs of a other skin with and this for a fee. Among other holds the marketing man of UpClick since the acquisition reportedly the same position at Lavasoft.
The owners of UpClick also have a marketing company that has multiple domains that link to fraudulent activities and spyware. Lavasoft wants, according to The Register not substantively respond to the notice. Former financial director Sofie Bergström says that they have nothing of the investment company know. “It is a Canadian society, that is the only thing I know.
