53 standing ovations for Netanyahu in Congress

Foreign. As usual, the applause never stopped when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the US Congress in Washington on Wednesday.

Just like on Netanyahu's previous visit, a large part of the time was taken up with standing ovations from the American politicians.

This time, however, the situation was partly different because of the war. A large number of Democratic members boycotted the speech. So did Republican Thomas Massie, who states on X that he does not want to act as a prop in a propaganda show.

Massie said in an interview with Tucker Carlson in June that he is the only Republican member of the House of Representatives who does not have his own “Aipac person” from the Israel lobby telling him how to act and vote.
