BMW unveiled the restyling of the 3 Series. Not even two days ago, the German carmaker shared a teaser announcing the upcoming arrival of this model update. Apparently, the wait is was really short since the restyling is now; official. For the sedan and the German station wagon there are several novelties; both in design and in content with the introduction of the new infotainment system with the iDrive 8 platform.
The commercial launch & egrave; expected for the month of July . As of this writing, prices for the Italian market have not yet been disclosed. In any case, the restyled BMW 3 Series sedan will start in Germany at 43,900 euros. The Touring version (station wagon), will start; from 45,000 euros.
DESIGN AND INTERIORS 
only a series of retouches that touched the optical groups, the bumper and the grille. The headlights that adopt the Full-LED technology as standard now have more shapes; thin. Adaptive LED headlights are available as options. Slightly revised the shapes of the double kidney, now a little bit more wider than that of the current model. No double kidney XL elongated downwards, however, as in some of the latest models of the German brand.
At the rear there are only a few tweaks to the bumper. A new diffuser also stands out. In addition, the restyled 3 Series adopts tailpipes of 90 or 100 mm in diameter depending on the engine. All models have 17-inch alloy wheels as standard. With the restyling, new body colors are also making their debut.
For the BMW 3 Series it will continue; to also offer the M Sport package. For those who want to make the look of the car even more; gritty, the manufacturer has decided to offer the M Sport Pro package . The former offers a double kidney with honeycomb pattern, 18-inch M alloy wheels and some modifications to the front and rear bumpers. The second adds, among other things, M High-gloss Shadowline finishes, M Shadowline lights and an M Sport brake system with red calipers.
The major news of the restyling can be found, however, inside the passenger compartment. As some spy photos of the prototypes had anticipated, BMW has chosen to adopt a large curved panel for the dashboard.inside which we find the instrumentation displays (12.3 inches) and the actual infotainment system (14.9 inches). As mentioned at the beginning, the infotainment system can count on the new iDrive 8 platform. Therefore, you can & agrave; have access to all features advanced digital developed by the manufacturer. The OTA updates were also present.
BMW then simplified the dashboard, minimizing the presence of physical controls. Many features of the car, in fact, are managed directly from the infotainment.
ENGINES AND SAFETY 
As for the engines, there are no particular innovations. The new BMW 3 Series sedan can & ograve; be ordered in three plug-in hybrid variants and the new BMW 3 Series Touring in 4. To these units & agrave; four petrol engines and four four- or six-cylinder diesel engines are added for both the sedan and the Touring. All engines in the new BMW 3 Series are equipped as standard with an eight-speed Steptronic gearbox .
