Microsoft refuses the e-mail data that the in Europe, has been saved to hand over to the United States, despite an injunction. The company claims that the e-mails will hand over as long as the appeal runs.

An American judge decided Friday that Microsoft hand over e-mail data to the United States can no longer postpone. In a reaction however, Microsoft know, as yet, no answer to give to the ruling, reports Reuters news agency. The company from Redmond wants to be first, the appeal to wait before the e-mail data reveals, because this is “the correct procedure” would be. On the 5th of september is known how the lawsuit will continue.

Late last month, a U.s. judge that Microsoft is required to in Europe saved e-mails to be handed over to the U.S. if the authorities request it. Then said the judge, however, that the data still did not have to hand over as long as the appeals process ran. Then came the court so Friday, on back.

Microsoft has e-mail data of European customers stored in data centers in Ireland. According to Microsoft, it may not be required in order to provide this information to the U.S., but the U.s. judge makes the company so to be in the wrong. The American Public Prosecutor had to e-mails that are part of a criminal investigation.
