While it didn’t make the German women’s Team as a favourite on the podium was the men’s relay for a Surprise at the Biathlon world Cup in Ostersund: second place behind Norway and Russia.
The German biathletes are in season at the world Cup in Ostersund-silver stormed. The Quartet in the Formation of Erik Lesser , Roman Rees, Arnd Peiffer and Benedikt Doll had to give in to the 4×7,5 km, and a total of eight Reloads only Norway (six spare rounds). Germany was in the target in 38.1 seconds behind the favourites, won Bronze Russia (7/+1:04,1 minutes).
“It was a comfortable final round, I was able to enjoy it properly,” said Doll in the ZDF. Peiffer added: “If you reach out with the guys a bit, is the whole Team into a euphoric mood. We have fought hard.”

Earlier, the German women to their role as favourites were not justified and due to a penalty round, and a total of 14 Reloads without medal remained. In spite of a spirited final attack of Laura Dahlmeier, it was enough for the defending Champions behind Norway, Sweden and the Ukraine only to rank four.
