The “Elphi”, as the Hamburger eyes call, with a wink to her new landmark, gets a new chief conductor. Alan Gilbert is regarded as an expert for New music. The 50-Year-old is the successor of Thomas hengelbrock as chief conductor of the NDR Elbe Philharmonic orchestra. Just a few days ago, he gave a farewell concert as chief conductor of the New York Philharmonic.

In the summer of 2019, he is the successor of Thomas Hengelbrock , is not extended his contract. “Alan Gilbert stands for the highest musical quality, coupled with great innovation and design will.
