HP confirms split into two separate companies

Computergigant HP is itself split into two separate listed companies, as the company has confirmed. One of the two new companies focus on business it infrastructure; the other on computers, laptops, and printers.

On the demerger went earlier on Monday rumors, and HP has the split now confirmed. The division of HP that now that computers and printers will through life continue to go as HP, and will be the same logo. In addition, it will branch in the future also focus on ‘growth markets’ as 3d printers, it promises to HP.

The business arm of HP, which includes servers, storage systems and commercial it services, will be renamed Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.
