The South Korean smartphonefabrikant Pantech, which include Samsung and Qualcomm have ge lwa country, is bankrupt. The manufacturer made especially the rage on the home market, but has no notable international successes known.
Pantech is in the past few years, not been profitable and ended up further in debt when his last major smartphone flopped, writes the business newspaper, The Wall Street Journal. This is the fault of the manufacturer amounted to hundreds of millions of euros, while the turnover is much less.
The manufacturer has the equipment never sold in the Netherlands, but fell nevertheless, a couple of times. So was Pantech, one of the first manufacturers to put a Qualcomm S4 Pro soc used in a phone and it came in 2011, with a smartphone with 4g and control through gestures, something Samsung a year and a half later, in much the same way applied. Also, it came five years ago with a device with swiveling qwerty keyboard and rested on the ten years ago a phone with finger print scanner. Pantech was the only time after Samsung and LG, the third smartphonefabrikant in South Korea.
The company hoped to with its smartphones, high growth, such as in the meantime competitors such as Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo and Xiaomi have done. Pantech has existed for more than ten years. It is unknown whether the manufacturer after the bankruptcy a new start will make.
