The PlayStation 4 console later this year appears on the market, with several stores already sold out. The retailers take is still pre-orders, but new orders are often on a waiting list, where the delivery date is unknown.
Game Mania and Bol.com have announced that consumers that the PlayStation 4 order now the console is not more on the day of the introduction in the house will get. Both retailers have set a date in regards to all orders placed; consumers who are after those dates have ordered will also have to wait longer on their consoles.
Game Mania made Friday in a statement announced that only orders made before the 24th of June on releasedag can be delivered. Consumers who are between 24 June and 7 August, have ordered, will receive their console by december at the latest. Game Mania can not guarantee that the pre-orders placed after August 7, still within this calendar year can be delivered. The company is expected in 2013 two deliveries of the PlayStation 4-consoles: one for the introduction and a second for the end of the year.
Bol.com uses 31 July as the deadline of orders for consumers who may rely on a PlayStation 4 at launch. The company reports on its website that orders placed after that date will not be guaranteed for immediate delivery. Tweakers also has Bart Smit and Media Markt approached for comment. Bart Smit gave no statement to want to do about the state of affairs of the PlayStation 4, while Media Markt has not yet responded.
Also Sony Computer Entertainment Benelux did not ask about the availability of the PlayStation 4. The company gave in a response to pleased that a lot of consumers, the PS4 pre-ordering, but indicated that Sony no comments about production and the releasestrategie for the PlayStation 4. Therefore, it is not publicly clear how many copies the stores supplied will get.
The PlayStation 4 is later this year expected to hit the market, but a release date is still not known. That change likely, when Sony Computer Entertainment for its annual Gamescom press conference, organizes. That press conference is on Tuesday, August 20, held in Cologne, germany.
