Facebook should pseudonyms in Germany continue to refuse

Facebook may in Germany pseudonyms continue to reject on its social network. That has a German judge decided after a case was filed by the privacy authority of a state. That authority is in appeal.

Facebooks rule that users must register with real names violates German law, but because of Facebook in Europe in Ireland is located, that law is not for Facebook, says the privacy organization of the German state of Schleswig-Holstein.

The case was brought by the privacy authority, which claimed that the rule of Facebook violates German privacy law. The authority does not agree with the ruling and appealed. For now Facebook’s rule that users ‘ real names must, therefore, maintain.

Facebook is often under fire in Europe due to privacy issues, because of the saved data for facial recognition on photos. There are several studies to Facebook set because of the alleged privacy violations.
