Google has seemingly accidentally reveals that there will be a new version of the Android operating system is proposed. This upcoming release will get version number 4.1 and first comes to the smartphone Galaxy Nexus.

Users have discovered in the American version of Googles web store Play that on the description of the Galaxy Nexus smartphone, it is reported that this will soon have Android version 4.1 code name Jelly Bean will include. Incidentally, there were no further details about the new OS announced, though it seems to be the version indicator 4.1 indicate that it is a relatively small update: the current Ice Cream Sandwich branch works with version 4.0.x.

As Google describes that the Galaxy Nexus is the first smartphone with the new OS, it seems that there is no new Nexus devices, that Android 4.1 have pre-installed, to be announced. The expectation is that Google is the new Android version announced at its own I/O event at the end of June. Then also the Nexus 7 tablet, the first Google tablet. After the announcement, it is likely that the Galaxy Nexus soon the software update to get Android 4.1 on the device to install.

Previously came out that Google may be five new Nexus devices on the market, who also have five manufacturers to be made. It is still unclear whether this rumour is based on truth: it is possible that these devices only after the announcement of Android 4.1 to the world to be made and Google during the I/O conference only a tablet presents.
