Mobile customers take cheaper subscriptions at KPN

Customers since the price increase last year in KPN becoming cheaper and cheaper mobile phone plans. This is evident from the quarterly results of KPN. The telecommunications company will post lower results than a year ago.

The average amount that a customer at KPN mobile subscription spending, has declined from 38 euro a year ago to 34 euro now. This is evident from the quarterly results of the company. The decrease of more than 10 percent appears to be related to the introduction of new subscriptions.

KPN has the fall of its market share stopped. While in the past year, each quarter, dropped, rose in the last quarter, with 5,000 customers. The number of prepaid customers took off. KPN now has, together with its subsidiaries, Hi and Telfort approximately 7.5 million customers.

For market share to boost KPN has in the past quarter through its subsidiaries, new subscriptions will be presented. Hi and Telfort have on the eye toestelsubsidies abolished and replaced by a lease. The market share of KPN on the broadband market declined from 41 to 39 percent. The number of customers with Digital tv decreased by 9 percent to 800,000 users, but in total, the number of customers that tv services from KPN will be reduced due to the emergence of iptv services. The number of customers with Fiber-to-the-Home doubled in a year from 50,000 to 102.000.
