Intel announces 330 series ssds official

Intel has the successor to the 320-series solid state drives are formally announced. The new 330-series is intended for the consumer market and is equipped with a SandForce controller. The drives are available in three capacities.

The smallest 330-version is equipped with a capacity of 60GB, followed by a 120GB version and a model with 180GB of storage space. The storage space is provided by the mlc flash memory on 25nm is baked. The memory is controlled by a SandForce SF2281-controller with Intel firmware. The drives have a sata-600 interface, in the well-known 2,5″-package cast and are 9.5 mm high.
