HTC has released a new version of his bootloader-unlocker released with support for some new devices. Among other things, the Desire Z and the ChaCha, both with a qwerty keyboard, are now supported.

Through a dedicated website users can the encryption of the bootloader of their smartphone remove. This enables them to then to HTC’s version of the Android operating system, to be replaced by a custom variant. That reports the manufacturer on twitter.

In addition to the Desire Z, ChaCha can now also the bootloaders of the American aircraft Aria, Droid Incredible, Status and T-Mobile G2 be decrypted.

HTC decided last year’s march the bootloader of its new aircraft to lock. After many negative reactions from the community made the manufacturer in may announced that an opportunity would give the security to work. In August followed an online tool that allows users the bootloaders of their devices can decrypt them.
