Samsung is coming in 2012 with Google TV support

Samsung intends to be in 2012 televisions on the market with support for the Google TV platform. The Korean manufacturer says is currently working with Google on the implementation.

The news was disclosed by Yoon Boo-keun, chief of Samsung’s tv division, reports Reuters. Google and Samsung would be currently in the last phase of negotiations about the integration of Googles platform in the tvs from the Korean manufacturer. With Google TV, users can search tv shows, websites, and apps use. Yoon showed nothing about a launch date, he just wanted to be rid of that next year an introduction will take place.

This is not the first time that Samsung with Google TV to get started. On the last edition of the CES exhibition showed the company a blu-ray player with Google TV support, but was never released. Earlier this year it was announced that Samsung was the platform on self-developed chips would want to run it, instead of Intel’s CE4100-soc that Google requires.
