Bethesda has the minimum and recommended system requirements of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced. The game requires a dualcoreprocessor, two gigabytes of ram and a video card with 512 megabytes of video memory.

Publisher Bethesda reveals the system requirements on his blog. Skyrim will run on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. Minimum is a 2GHz dualcoreprocessor with two gigabytes of ram is required, along with six gigabytes of free space on the hard drive. The graphics card is expected to feature 512 megabytes of video memory, compatible with DirectX 9.0 c. The publisher reports that there is an internet connection required to play Skyrim the first time you play to activate via Steam.

The recommended system requirements indicate what is needed to make the game with ‘high’ settings to run, says Bethesda. So, quadcoreprocessor and four gigabytes of memory required. The recommended video hardware consists of a gigabyte of video memory and a gpu that can compete with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or AMD Radeon 4890.
