Google Nexus S gets Android ICS a few weeks after release’

Google could have plans to the Nexus S with the newly announced Android Ice Cream Sandwich version. The update of the OS, however, comes only a few weeks after the Galaxy Nexus, the first ICS device, in the shops.

That has the internetgigant to know about techsite Engadget. Although the Nexus S definitely gets an update, Google is not yet out or its predecessor, the Nexus One, ICS will be provided. In theory, every device that is Android version Gingerbread can run are suitable for ICS, so there may be more phones, in addition to that of Google itself, have an update. To do this, its users, however, depending on the manufacturer of the device.

Google made ICS recently to the world, and has the sdk for the new OS version is already released. The Galaxy Nexus, manufactured by Samsung, the first smartphone with Android ICS, and has a 4,65″screen with 720p resolution. Inside housing is running a 1.2 GHz dualcoreprocessor, and there’s 1GB of ram built in.

Android ICS has many improvements to the interface: Google has the lockscreen, launch bar, applicatielauncher and the widgets changed. ICS is suitable for both tablets and smartphone.
