Device bought at Makro for 289,00 incl. VAT. It weighs almost nothing, a box with 1 finger to lift. (I can remember that we 25 years ago, a beeldbuistv with built-in stereo speakers had 35 kg weighed, so I put this sign)
Connectivity: Scart, 2x HDMI, Digital optical out, USB, LAN, WLAN (Dual-band-N), Common Interface slot (for Ziggo or Digital), coax. The device is powered by a separate transformer.
There are very spring capabilities to the picture, after a lot of trying to the correct settings found. The basic settings I found to be bland. These are mainly set on power save.
There are also many options as to the sound, but these have little to no effect. There is an equalizer in that you sound a little adjust, but it remains to be tinny. I now use the digital optical (toslink) output to my tuner-amp with 2.1 sound. This now goes on and off automatically if you have the tv turn on or turn off.
I may go even a soundbar to buy, I think those are still too expensive.
Set WLAN is just as easy as on a PC; network selection, key in the security code, done.
There are already a number of apps installed, o.a. web browser and Youtube, and you can there are still a large number from a menu and download. There is approx 1.5 GB of memory.
The web browser works reasonably well, the operation using the arrow and enter keys is not ideal, but you can also use a USB keyboard or mouse to connect.
The USB connector can also be a mass-opslagdevice with photo, video, or music files connect, you can then play through the tv.
If your mobile is suitable for this (WifiDirect) you can also video, music and photos from your mobile devices via tv.
