It was so far, I went to build a new system to my (6 year!) old system to be replaced. Out of all the components was quite a chore, as there are nowadays quite a lot to choose.
Pros
- 2xM.2
- Feels robust/very solid
- USB 3.1 Type-C
- MSI
Cons
- No drivers on the USB, which would be fine in 2016
Final conclusion

Out of many motherboards I am gone for the MSI Z170A-G45 Gaming in combination with a MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4G video card.
The motherboard looks, like most MSI products, very stylish. I can be found in the chosen kleursegment by MSI. The motherboard I have on the M5, because he is exactly the same, but it makes a difference in price. This is not astronomical, but every euro is completed. n.
The motherboard itself I can certainly recommend it. I have the motherboard purchased in the promotieverkoop in which you cash-back for motherboards. This motherboard had a cash-back of 25 Euro, which is directly to him again more interesting.
“If you are interested in Rainbowsix Siege, then I would get the M5 to choose from. That motherboard delivers up to 1 march, in addition to the cash-back of 30 Euro, the afore mentioned game via the MSI registration-procedure. (Came there too late, meh…)”
In addition to the renewed Z170 Chipset, the motherboard also has two M. 2 ports. This I can only applaud with the eye on the future.
The only thing I regret of motherboards in a similar price range is that you have the drivers in the year 2016, it still delivered on a CD-Rom. I use no drive in my system, so I had first the drivers of the internet picking on the laptop of my girlfriend.
Conclusion:
– Good motherboard;
– Built solid;
– 2xM.2 ports;
– USB 3.1 Type-C;
– Beautiful colors
