The Internet of things

From the Internet of things is in Barcelona of course also be mentioned, that idea so that computers are more “intelligent objects” to be replaced. Wearable technologies such as Smartwatches and Fitness bracelets are just the beginning. Whole sectors of the economy – Transport, health and Finance – increasingly rely on the constant connection to the Internet.

The U.S. carmaker Ford, for example, is already since many years in the MWC represented. This Time, Ford CEO Mark Fields a question about connectivity keep.

That the auto giant in Barcelona probably also a SUV Geländeauto with new network capabilities will present, makes it clear how much classic industrial groups in the direction of the digitisation move. Or Vice versa, if you get to the driverless car of Google thinks.

From the Internet of things it is only a small step to the information superhighway of tomorrow. The Countdown is on already for the successor to the current fast Mobiltechnology LTE, in the early 2020 could be the so-called 5G on the market. At the MWC there will be numerous 5G-Demos, and chip manufacturers such as Intel will set out how the new technology wing want to give.

Nobody knows exactly what the future will bring. However, the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona gives a reliable picture. Not only of how the future might look like, but as constantly worked on it.
