Stock market trading Hong Kong shut down after hack website

Trading in shares of seven companies on the stock exchange in Hong Kong on Wednesday shut down because of weiter on the beurssite. On that site would financ lwa le figures of the companies disclosed. The trade has since resumed.

Critical systems on the trading floor were not affected by the hack, reported the trade fair organizers on their own site. The section of the site where financial figures would be published, was struck by the weiter. On a backupsite could companies still communicate, but it was nevertheless the trading is temporarily stopped.

The fair organization has no idea who the attack has done and what the underlying motive is. It is also unclear to what attack it was, and whether any data was stolen. The police are investigating the case, according to the fair organization. The trade has now resumed, and the attack seems to be over. Earlier this year, this was a hack performed on the American technology fair Nasdaq.
