Facebook shows no longer Bing search results on its website. Instead it uses the social-networking site now have their own search engine.

A spokesperson from Facebook confirmed compared to Business Insider that the partnership with Bing from Microsoft is discontinued. There are no longer search results of Microsoft’s search engine is displayed in Facebook. The reason for this is that the company behind the social-networking site, the emphasis will be put on content that is on Facebook to be discoverable, which web results no longer have a place in the search engine.

Facebook works for some time on improving its own search technology. So it was recently with the ‘social’ search engine, Graph Search, contextual searches can be made. Also recently it has been possible to have posted messages to search through. Facebook ceo Mark Zuckerberg had earlier already know that there are more than a billion messages are posted on the site, which according to the ceo more content to search than in competitive search engines. So it seems that Facebook is itself a full-fledged search engine wants to be.

Despite the fact that Bing search results will no longer be shown would be Facebook’s cooperation with Microsoft will be willing to convert. What this involves in practice is not clear. Microsoft shows still Facebook content in the Bing search engine.
