Crysis 2 gets Dx11 Tesselation and High Res Textures

The patch DirectX 11 functionality adding to the pc version of Crysis 2 seems to be in the pipeline. An announcement of the patch can be found online. In addition to the DirectX 11 Tesselation Pack also displays a High Res Textures Pack.

Developer Crytek promised some months ago a patch and will release that DirectX 11 functionality of the video card can be addressed. Despite several patches for the game, Crysis 2, however, still not under Dx11 be viewed. Therein seems to change. On MyCrysis, the official community site for of Crysis 2, is a page to find that the two downloads are announced: the DirectX 11 Tesselation Pack and High Res Textures Pack. It is from the rest of the site is not yet to the Dx11-page linked to and the site also seems to be not finished yet. This is how the links to the two patches, not yet. Crytek has also not yet any official communication about the patches done, so it is not clear when they will be released.

After you install the Dx11 patch, the game has a new Ultra-setting. Under Dx9 adds the patch real-time local reflections and contacts shadows. Under Dx11 that have hardware-tessellation, parallax occlusion mapping, and improvements to shadows, water, particles, depth of field and motion blur. The High Res Textures Pack works with both the DirectX 11 as the DirectX 9 version of Crysis 2, already have a 64-bit operating system and a graphics card with at least 1GB of its own memory.

Update, June 23, 9:30: The DirectX 11 Tesselation Pack and High Res Textures Pack appear at the same time with Patch 1.9 on Monday 27 June, Crytek now published. The patch is needed for the two packs to install.
