“2K start new gamestudio Hangar 13”

2K Games has Thursday, the arrival of a new studio attached. The new ontwikkelstudio bears the name Hangar 13 is lead by Haden Blackman, that in the past when LucasArts was working. Where the new studio is working on is still unknown.

Hangar 13 is just as well as the headquarters of 2K in the San Francisco Bay Area based, for example, the announcement reported. The ontwikkelstudio would be according to the parent company to a non-presented next-gen’ title at work, although mean 2K Games there is probably a game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and not for the subsequent generation of consoles. The studio writes their own engine for the new game. It is unclear when the first game of Hanger 13 should come on the market.

The studio is headed up by Haden Blackman. He began his career at LucasArts Entertainment, where he has in different functions worked on multiple Stars Wars games. Then it was Blackman, the co-founder of Fearless Studios. That studio was in 2012 acquired by Kabam. He gives little away about the future plans of Hangar 13.

In an interview with Polygon gives Blackman that at the moment the focus is on the forms of the development team. The staff would be together for hundreds of games have shipped. The only thing that Blackman in the interview further reveals that the workforce is large enough to hold all the intended work to get things done, but at the same time is so small to everybody by name, to know.
