On ISK accounts, the first SEK 150,000 will be tax-free in 2025 and the tax-free amount will increase the following year the amount to SEK 300,000. However, the amount refers to the size of the savings and not the tax-free profit, which is why the tax reduction in practice has marginal significance.
Even when it comes to the tax on work, the reductions are small — on average SEK 216 per person per month. In total, the tax cuts cost 13.5 billion.
The government also proposes extended «temporary» extra allowance for families with children with housing allowance until June 30, 2025. Something that primarily benefits immigrant families.
Many have today have had time to get used to the extra allowance and it is therefore uncertain whether it will ever be able to be removed.
The proposals together cost SEK 18 billion.
