Economy. Sweden is not among the top when the EU ranks the countries' welfare and labor market. A former communist state instead does well and takes second place after the Netherlands, writes Europaportalen.

The Netherlands ends up at the top with 64 points, followed by Slovenia with 61 points.
Sweden comes in joint fifth place with the Czech Republic on 58 points.
Sweden receives the highest marks in two categories: employment and the level of adult education.
However, due to high unemployment and large differences in income between high and low income earners, we have to settle for fifth place.
