Foreign. Polish teachers are allowed to call all male students «he» and «him» — even if the students were to start «identifying» as girls. This is shown by a new legal study from the Ordo Iuris think tank.

A new study from the legal institute Ordo Iuris in Poland has created debate by stating that teachers are not required to use so-called gender-affirming pronouns for students who identify as a gender other than that stated in official documents.
Ordo Iuris consists of conservative lawyers who stand for a strict legal interpretation of the constitution, instead of the politically correct interpretation that the left in the country has — so far unsuccessfully — tried to argue for.
According to the study, which is titled «When Kate Claims to be Tom: Legal Aspects of Pronoun Conflicts in Polish Schools», should teachers address students based on the gender on their birth certificates.
The study emphasizes that using pronouns consistent with official records is a matter of equal treatment and argues that teachers cannot be forced to use a name like the student self-chosen, as this may constitute an infringement of the teacher's constitutionally protected freedom of conscience and freedom of religion.
Ordo Iuris also emphasizes that there is no legal obligation to offer separate restrooms for transgender people, or to allow boys who identify as girls to use girls' toilets.
This is based on building regulations that only require two gender-specific toilets.
The study also warns that some students may abuse the gender identity issue to demand attention or for their own gain.< /p>
The study also shows that there are several opportunities to defend themselves for teachers who are attacked by their employers when, for example, they call boys boys, including the possibility of taking legal action.
