A total of 28 Afghan nationals , who was convicted of crimes in Germany, has been sent back to his home country.
The decision came in the context of an intense debate about the country's asylum policy, with strongly growing support for anti-immigration parties, which has put pressure on the German the government to act.
The expelled Afghans should have received a start-up grant of 1,000 euros to facilitate their return to their homeland, according to consistent media reports.
