Eleven-year-old arrested in dawn raid against immigration critics

Foreign. An 11-year-old child was among 14 people arrested in dawn raids on Wednesday, suspected of taking part in the anti-immigration riots that rocked England a few weeks ago.

Those arrested are between the ages of 11 and 43 and are suspected of violent rioting. Among them is a mother and her son, reports BBC News.

According to the police, four minors, one woman and nine men were detained after the raids.

The raids are part of an operation where 40 officers have reviewed hours of surveillance footage, body camera images and social media posts.

Cleveland police have now arrested a total of 110 people following widespread unrest in Hartlepool and Middlesbrough just under a month ago. The violence broke out in Middlesbrough on August 4, just days after similar unrest in Hartlepool on July 31.
