On Christmas Day at 12:26 PM, something happened that caused the Estlink 2 cable to be disconnected, according to grid operator Fingrid.
“Sabotage cannot be ruled out,” Fingrid told Yle.
Estlink 2 also failed in January and repair work continued until September.
According to Estonian ERR, the cost then was 30 million euros.
