Alice Teodorescu Måwe, who was elected to the European Parliament this summer, has been noticed for her very strong support to Israel during the ongoing war.
Since she came to Brussels, the focus on Israel has been close to one hundred percent for the 40-year-old politician, something that has aroused questions.
Her support has not been shaken by the fact that Israel's prime minister is now being hunted internationally for war crimes and crimes against humanity – quite the opposite.

In an interview with the Jewish newspaper Menorah, Alice Teodorescu Måwe is asked about her passion for Israel and the Jewish people. She replies that the commitment is based on the fact that she believes that as a civilization we need to “stand up against barbarism wherever it manifests itself”.
– I also believe that we Europeans have a special responsibility given the genocide we have on our conscience in the form of the Holocaust. For me, “Never again” are words that oblige, and what we have seen in the past year has only strengthened my belief in the need for an Israel that does what no one else dares to do, she says.
It is really a question of right and wrong, “about standing on the side of the victims and demanding responsibility from the perpetrators”, explains the KD politician further.
Many have asked where Alice Teodorescu Måwe's commitment actually comes from, if she herself is Jewish or if she gets paid, but to Menorah the politician says that she actually has no personal relationship with Israel at all.
– None at all, but I have many Jewish friends and acquaintances and that sadness and pain that is expression because has shaken me to the core, she continues.
Alice Teodorescu Måwe herself has not even visited Israel, she announces.
The KD politician has posted a photograph of the interview on X. But there her new statements only seem to raise even more questions – and she has received a very large number of critical comments.
“Why do you get more involved for a country other than the country you get six figure monthly salary + benefits to represent?” asks the alternative media profiler Nick Alinia, without getting any answer.
Another user writes:
“You should be fired by the Swedish people just like you were fired by DN. For the same reason, you doing public relations consulting alongside your main duties.”
According to the UN, at least 44,000 have been killed – most of them women and children – and more than 100,000 injured in Israel's war on Gaza.
