Mones Afshar, who claims to be 25, is a locally known rapper in Luleå who came to Sweden in 2015.

He was never granted asylum, but it was decided that he would be deported. Despite that, the Afghan chose to stay in Sweden illegally until the high school law was clubbed. He received a permanent residence permit in December 2018.

Now the Afghan is being sentenced for raping a woman in her 80s on February 16, 2024. He used his position at the home service to prepare for her safe housing.< /p>

According to SVT, he had then worked at home care for five years. Despite the fact that right from the start there were alarms about his boundless and physically abusive behavior from users, colleagues and relatives.

The woman has said that the Afghan suddenly appeared at her place in the afternoon and said he wanted to “feel her”. Then he dragged her to the bed and raped her there. She states that she was in great pain and that he was violent.

Mones Afshar has denied any crime. When he found out that the police had DNA evidence in the form of his semen, he began to claim that it was aging that seduced him – an explanation that the court does not give much credit to.

In May, the Luleå district court sentenced Mones Afshar to six and a half years in prison for rape and theft (he stole a gold necklace and a gold ring from another elderly woman). He was also sentenced to deportation. The district court ruled that the general situation of adult men in Mones Afshar's hometown in Afghanistan did not in itself warrant protection or permission. Nor did he have any registered relationships in Sweden.

The verdict was appealed, and now the Court of Appeal has come up with its assessment. The court lowers the sentence to five years and six months and decides that Mones Afshar will remain in custody until the sentence becomes final.

Mones Afshar has appeared a lot in the media, where it was possible to follow his journey as ” unaccompanied refugee children”. In November, the local newspaper NSD showed a picture of him in connection with the clubbing of the high school team in 2017. The photo shows Mones hugging an elderly woman – Meta Wiborgh, with whom he lived at the time.

The picture was also used in a submission by Meta Wiborgh where she wondered if the Sweden Democrats' political message had “poisoned the whole of political Sweden”.

Meta Wiborgh was one of the many older women who became involved with the Afghan so-called refugee children and was involved in # staying yearnteut In connection with Afshar being charged with rape in May, she commented on the matter for Samnytt.

– I think it feels really awful. I don't have much more to say than that it's all incredibly sad. I haven't had contact with him in years. He disappeared from my world, she said then.
