The Muslim crowd cheers when the S-top announces that Gothenburg will boycott Israel

The upwards of 15,000 Muslims gathered in Slottsskogen in Gothenburg last weekend to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

On site was the chairman of the municipal board, Jonas Attenius (S), who gave a speech that was filmed. The video has now spread widely.

In the clip, Attenius condemns Israel and says that his political administration in Gothenburg has just decided to pause purchases from Israel and boycott Israeli settlements.

– Your tax money should never go to support occupations, and Gothenburg refuses to be silent in the face of what is happening, S-toppen thundered in front of the Muslim crowd.

Jonas Attenius receives criticism from other politicians for his participation in the event.
