Hungary's slogan for its six-month rotating presidency in The EU will be “”Make Europe great again”.

This was announced by the country's EU Minister János Bóka on Tuesday when he outlined the country's priorities during the upcoming presidency, starting on 1 July.

The choice of slogan can be seen as a “trick” by the bureaucrats in Brussels in the middle of the American election campaign, where Donald Trump is again running under the slogan “Make America great again”. Trump is hated in Brussels but is supported by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

János Bóka said, according to Remix News, that the Hungarian government sees the rotating presidency as an opportunity, adding that Hungary regards peace and security in Europe as the most important issue.< /p>

Hungary's EU presidency will have seven priorities: a new European competitiveness pact, the strengthening of European defense policy, consistent and merit-based enlargement policy, dealing with illegal migration, shaping the future of cohesion policy, an agriculture-centric EU policy and fighting the declining demographics.

The minister concluded by saying that “the success of the Hungarian Presidency means success for Europe as a whole”.
