New provider Digi Belgium will start before the end of the year

The new Belgian provider Digi Belgium will start offering calling and mobile internet before the end of the year. The provider acquired 5G spectrum in the auction in 2022 and entered into an agreement with Proximus for roaming.

The site mentions TV and fiber optic services, but according to De Tijd, Digi Belgium first focuses on offering mobile network. This is done, among other things, through a collaboration with Proximus. Digi Belgium is a partnership between Digi Communications, a Romanian group with a registered office in Amsterdam, and Citymesh from IT service provider Cegeka.

There was already talk of going live around the summer and now it has company confirms that it will connect customers from the second half of this year. It is unknown which subscriptions come with what conditions. There are currently three providers in Belgium with their own network: Proximus, Telenet and Orange Belgium.
