Björn Höcke, who is group leader of the AFD in Thuringia, was charged with saying “everything for Germany” at the end of a speech he gave in Merseburg in Saxony-Anhalt during the 2021 election campaign there.
< p>It turned out that this phrase was also engraved on the SA's daggers during the Third Reich, which enabled the authorities to single out Höcke for advocating Nazism.
Björn Höcke has refuted the claim that his plot would have something to do with Nazism. He refers to the fact that “Everything for the homeland” was actually the AFD's slogan in the election campaign.
The court does not want to listen to that, but sentences the top politician to pay a fine of a total of 13,000 euros, corresponding to roughly 150,000 kroner.< /p>
