Rumble has profiled itself as a site with a right-wing profile and more freedom of expression than Youtube. Among other things, it is the only major platform that allows America First movement leader Nick Fuentes to publish his videos.

In his lawsuit, Rumble claims that Google should pay upwards of a billion dollars in damages for lost advertising revenue and for unlawfully exploit its dominance in ad technology to inhibit Rumble's ability to compete.

It is the second lawsuit filed by Rumble against Google. The company sued Google in 2021 for illegally favoring YouTube videos in Google's search results and in its Android mobile operating system.

Both the old and new lawsuits have been filed in California.
