Sabrent has introduced a new, compact PCIe 4.0 SSD with M.2 2242 form factor. The Sabrent Rocket Nano 4 has a Phison E27T controller, contains 3D NAND memory and can handle read speeds of up to 5GB/s. No information is given about write speeds.
The Sabrent product page states that the compact NVMe SSD has a PCIe 4.0 interface. It is a single-sided SSD and the size of the storage medium can be expanded to an M.2 2280+ format via adapters or housings.
Sabrent writes that the Rocket Nano is aimed at gaming handhelds and compact devices, such as the Lenovo Legion Go. The compact Rocket 2242 Gen 4 is available in a 1TB variant and costs $99. It is not clear whether other variants of the SSD will be released.
