Sony is said to have founded a new game studio with former Deviation Games employees. An ex-employee of the development studio believes that new intellectual property is being worked on in the new studio.
Michael Anthony wrote in a post on LinkedIn that the former colleagues from Deviation Games are very talented. It is not clear how many employees the new studio has and whether all leaders of the development studio are part of the new team. VideoGamesChronicle suspects that Jason Blundell, one of the co-founders of Deviation Games who has experience with the Call of Duty franchise, is involved.
Deviation Games was founded in 2020 by several former Call of Duty developers and went in 2021 a partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment to develop new intellectual property for Sony. The development studio was closed down in March 2024. No reason was given for the closure.
