The Dutch manufacturer of chip packaging machines Besi has received an order from a 'leading' chip manufacturer. The company is allowed to supply 26 hybrid bonding machines. The deal is said to be worth approximately 75 million euros.
Besi writes in a press release that the machines will be delivered during the fourth quarter of this year and the first quarter of 2025. The manufacturer of chip packaging machines believes that more orders for the hybrid bonding chip machines will be received from other customers during the second quarter of 2024. Radio station BNR claims that each hybrid bonding chip machine costs approximately 3 million euros. This would make the order worth a total of approximately 75 million euros.
Besi is a Dutch chip machine manufacturer from Duiven. The company makes machines that package, process and connect chips. The company also produces hybrid bonding chip machines. Thanks to these machines, different dies can be directly linked to each other.
