In a video message posted on social media before the event, Eden Golan was congratulated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Golan.
He noted that she “already won” after having “successfully confronted” what he describes as a “terrible wave of anti-Semitism” in Sweden, BBC News reports.
Eden Golan has previously said herself that she is “proud of to represent” her country and that “nothing will deter” her.
– I am focused on the music, on the good energy. There are so many people who support me, and I feel like it's such an honor to represent my country, especially in these times.
