Several demonstrations against Israel were held on Thursday in connection with Eurovision in Malmö. According to the police, the largest gathered 10-12,000 participants.
At a pro-Israel demonstration on Davidshallstorg in Malmö in the evening, the journalist Kajsa Ekis Ekman appeared. According to Expressen, she shouted messages such as “genocide” and “is this freedom”.
Demonstrators are said to have then approached the journalist and a heated discussion is said to have arisen.
After a few minutes, Kajsa Ekis Ekman was taken away by the police.
– I just said genocide, genocide. It's true, she tells Expressen.
– You can say genocide, genocide.
When asked why she did what she did, Kajsa Ekis Ekman answers: “because they waved with Israeli flags”.
According to the police, Kajsa Ekis Ekman should not be suspected of any crime.
