Overclockers have managed to overclock an Intel Core i9 CPU to a speed of 9117MHz. A team of overclockers, including well-known names such as SkatterBencher and Elmor, set the record on a single Performance core of the Raptor Lake processor.

A group of overclockers from Elmor Labs, SkatterBencher and Shamino show in a video how to use an Intel Core i9 14900KS have managed to overclock to a record high of 9117.75MHz on one of the chip's Performance cores. The overclockers had to increase the voltage to the CPU to 1.85V and lower the temperature to -231 degrees Celsius with liquid helium. The overclockers do not mention many details about their record attempt, but have posted the results online.
The team used a ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore motherboard for the record attempt. ASUS, which sponsored the record attempt, says it has set four other records on that motherboard using the same Raptor Lake SoC. For example, overclocker Safedisk achieved three other records for the fastest times with benchmark tools PiFast, SuperPi and PYPrima with the same set-up. These were completed in 6.79, 3.767 and 97.596 seconds respectively.
