“Kingston comes with new pci-e ssds”

Kingston has at CES a number of new HyperX Predator ssds announced that in a pci-express 2.0 x4 slot and pinned. This would edition lwa le read and write speeds can be obtained, respectively, to 1.4 and 1GB/s.

In the first instance, announces Kingston models with capacities of 240 and 480GB. This should be in February. In the course of 2015, there must also be a 960GB edition come out.

The ssds must be in a pci-express 2.0 x4 slot to be placed. The HyperX Predator ssds are available in a m2 form factor. Optional is a half-height, half-length adapter available so that the drives can also be combined with motherboards without the m2 socket to use.

By the transition to the pci-e interface is the sata-600 interface, which has now for many high-end ssds, a bottleneck has become pushed aside. According to Kingston, the ssd’s bootable via standard ahci drivers.

On the HyperX Predator ssd is a Marvell 88SS9293 controller placed. Kingston claims that speeds can reach up to 1.4 GB/s and the write speed peaks at 1GB/s. The number of iops has Kingston not yet released and the prices, either.
