Oppo flagship smartphone owners can now get Android 13 as an OTA update. The manufacturer released its own ColorOS 13 operating system today for the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro. The rollout is to be continued for numerous series over the course of this year and next.
Aquamorphic design like OxygenOS 13
After OnePlus announced its own OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 last week, Oppo follows today with ColorOS 13, which shares the code base with the OnePlus operating system – actually it works the other way around. The new “Aquamorphic Design” is also used on Oppo, which the manufacturer describes as “natural water effects” and “lively colors” depending on the changing light of the day. In addition to this visual adjustment, a new font is moving into the system, which, according to the manufacturer, has been optimized for good legibility of texts, regardless of the language.
New designs for always-on display
On the always-on screen of the operating system, which is displayed on screens with LTPO 2.0 panels with 1 Hz, new wallpapers are moving in under the name “Homeland”, which depict various wildlife sceneries above the time and date, including fish , penguins and polar bears. The always-on display has recently also shown information about music apps and food deliveries, although the latter was limited to the Indian market, at least for OnePlus.
