The Hyundai Group announced a few days ago that it intends to strengthen its investments in North America . Overall, 10 billion dollars will be put on the table until 2025. Specifically, the Korean group intends to invest to accelerate innovation and the electrification of mobility. Entering even more in detail of Hyundai's growth plan in the American market, 5.54 billion dollars will be used for the construction of a plant in which electric cars and batteries will be produced.
This establishment will be made in the State of Georgia . Inside, new electric vehicles will be built for the American market. The new plant, located in a dedicated area of 2,923 acres, will be; inaugurated at the beginning of 2023. Once fully operational it will be; capable of producing up to 300 thousand cars per year. The new plant will help & agrave; the Korean Group to become one of the top three electric vehicle suppliers in the United States by 2026.
No mention of which models will be produced within the factory. However, & egrave; possible that the new Hyundai IONIQ 7 and Kia EV9 will be built that will arrive in the future. However, advanced technologies will be used in the plant, with a highly connected, automated and flexible production system. And speaking of sustainability, the new plant will exploit mainly renewable energy sources . In addition to the strengthening of the activities; future, the Korean Group will maintain; constant levels of investment in research and development to continue to offer innovative vehicles and to expand and improve existing plants in the United States.
